CLARK, PAMPANGA - Radioactive Sago Project and Sponge Cola had the difficult honor of performing simultaneously to two of the bigger foreign acts of Day Two of the 7107 International Music Festival.
The jazz rock band performed adjacent to American band Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, while the pop rock group, led by Yael Yuzon, did their act the same time Lendrick Lamar started his.

The music festival, which concluded on Sunday, February 23, had two stages holding simultaneous acts. Most of the local acts performed on the smaller second stage, while the foreign artists performed on the bigger main stage.
Nonetheless, the two local bands held their own against two of the four big acts of 7107, even as they performed to a smaller but much more engaged and still sizable crowd.
Radioactive Sago Project, led by Lourd de Veyra, peppered their 30-minute set with “Walang Basagan ng Trip,†“Wala Lang,†and “Alak Sugal Kape Babae Kabaong.â€
“Ang konsiyertong ito ay para sa kalayaan ni Gng. Napoles,†Lourd quipped in between songs. The poet-TV personality acknowledged the American band he is performing adjacent to, calling them “Red Jumpsuit Chili Peppers,†to the delight of the audience. The local stage crowd dwindled slightly after Radioactive Sago Project, when Sponge Cola performed simultaneously with Lamar. The rapper recently made headlines after he lost to fellow new hip-hop artist Macklemore and Ryan Lewis during the 2014 Grammy Awards.
But Yael still engaged his audience, performing hits such as “Tambay,†“Tuliro,†and “Bitiw,†and “Gemini.â€

Addressing the crowd, Yael said: “30 percent of you are probably all my friends.â€
“I hope there are more of these things happening for all of us,†he added.
Other local days during Day 2 of the 7107 music fest include Itchyworms and Up Dharma Down (which performed at the main stage during the afternoon, before the festival's big three acts: Empire of the Sun, Kendrick Lamar, and Red Hot Chili Peppers).
