Bimby allows Kris Aquino to have a boyfriend

MANILA, Philippines – Will Kris Aquino have a new man in her life soon?

In an episode of the ABS-CBN evening talk show “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” on Monday, February 17, the TV host-actress revealed that her son Bimby has allowed her to have a boyfriend.

“Bimby told me something wonderful kanina. Sabi niya, ‘Mama, because you brought me all my games, I want you to be happy, you can already have a boyfriend but no breaking up’,” Kris said.

She added: “Ang cute, di ba? Yung six-years-old, gusto na talaga ng kaligayahan para sa parehong magulang. Pero yun lang ang hinihingi niya, huwag n’yong guluhin ha? Kung papasok kayo sa relasyon, make sure for keeps.”

Kris has been separated with basketball player James Yap, the father of Bimby, since 2010. Their marriage was annulled in 2012.

Time heals

It seems like Kris and James are already mending fences following their separation and their recent spat regarding James’ visitation rights with Bimby.

In the same “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” episode, Kris revealed James greeted her last February 14, her birthday. This was before James spent time with Bimby and Kris’ oldest son Josh during his birthday last February 15.

“Nagulat ako dahil on my birthday, on the 14th, James actually texted and greeted me. Sinabi lang niya na, ‘Happy Birthday, Kris. Thank you for being the best mom to Bimby.’ Hindi ko alam ang number niya. So I said, ‘Who’s this please?’ Then sinagot ako three hours after, ‘James.’ Nagreply ako, ‘Yap?’ Tapos after that sabi niya, ‘Yes’,” she narrated.

Kris continued: “Sabi ko, ‘Alagaan mo yung dalawang bata and please wag mong awayin kasi building bridges ito ngayon’.”

The 43-year-old Kapamilya star said she cried when she was looking at the photos of James, Bimby, and Josh together last Saturday.

Kris revealed she intentionally went to Singapore that day to allow Bimby to bond with his father.

She added: “It took so long to reach this point for both of us. And it took so long for me to feel comfortable already. All it took was for James to acknowledge na naging mabuting nanay talaga ako kay Bimby. And nung ibigay niya sa akin yun, handing-handa akong ibigay sa kanya na magkaroon sila ng magandang relationship.

The TV host-actress agreed with her co-host Boy Abunda who said, “Time heals.”

“Lord, ang tagal. Almost for years, but thank God,” she said. “Peace, love, harmony, moving on!”
