Claudine, after all, is a veteran when it comes to televisions dramas and has starred in a number of successful soap operas such as “Mula sa Puso,†“Marina,†and “Iisa Pa Lamang,†among many others.
For her part, Julia believes being compared to her more established aunt is inevitable but adds, “But for my side naman, I won’t let this affect me because my tita has been in the industry for so many years.â€
The 16-year-old star said, “You can’t compare somebody who has been in the industry for so many years to someone who has just entered. Hindi, hindi talaga maco-compare yun.â€
Julia spoke to members of the press during her launch as the newest endorser of feminine napkin Modess.
Recently, Enrique Gil was cast as one of Julia’s leading men in the upcoming show. Fans of Enrique’s love team with Julia Montes were reportedly angered by the news, although the young Barretto does not let this affect her as well.
“Well, I think as a fan it’s normal to feel that way. Pero there’s also no need to say harsh words kasi tao rin naman ako,†Julia said. “And also, hindi ko siya binibigyan ng pansin because may ibang tao na gustong-gusto yung casting.â€
