MANILA, Philippines – Although she already experienced heartache when his first husband Anthony Linsangan died of cancer, Camille Prats said she “definitely†wants to get married in the future.
“I would want to have a family naman ulit. Ayoko naman ng wala-wala lang or partner-partner lang. The Kapuso actress has been in a relationship with John Yambao for a year now. While she admits talking to her non-showbiz boyfriend about marriage, Camille said it’s “too early†to plan about settling down with Yambao.
“We talk about it but no final details yet,†she said about the possibility of marriage with John.
Camille added, “I’m not getting any younger. I’m turning 29 this year. So syempre kailangan naman when we enter into a relationship, we enter a relationship because we plan for something more than that.â€
It took more than a year after Anthony’s death before Camille entered into a relationship with John.
The “Borrowed Wife†star said there was a point she was scared to fall in love again after the death of her husband.
“And then siguro after a while, nung natanggap ko na yung nangyari sa late husband ko, na-realize ko na hindi dapat mag-suffer yung sino man yung darating sa buhay ko sa nangyari sa akin dati,†she said.
“I have to give this whole thing a different point of view, a different perspective. And I don’t think he has to suffer the things that I had to go through, kasi it’s unfair.â€
Anthony’s parents already know about her relationship with John.
“They know naman na they won’t be able to stop me from moving on just as long as I keep my relationship with them,†she said.
Camille hasn’t received any negative comments about her entering into a relationship after the death of Anthony, although she knows any feedback she’d receive about her new love is beyond her control.

“At the end of the day, I didn’t cheat on anyone, I didn’t hurt anyone. Kumbaga, I did my part with my late husband. He’s moved on and I have accepted that,†she said.
“For a time, I never actually thought I’d be able to move on. So when I finally did, it also struck me as a surprise. I prayed about it and I prayed about it a lot. So far it’s been good.â€
