2013 Miss U to crown new Binibini

MANILA, Philippines - BREAKING NEWS: 2013 Miss Universe Gabriela Isler (of Venezuela, photo, left) will crown the new Bb. Pilipinas-Universe who will be chosen during the 2014 (51st) Bb. Pilipinas Pageant on March 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This was revealed to Funfare Update by Madame Stella Marquez de Araneta, head of the Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI).

Forty candidates winnowed down from over a hundred applicants will compete for four titles: Bb. Pilipinas-Universe currently held by Ariella Arida (photo, right) who placed third runner-up in the 2013 Miss Universe contest (who will do the honors with Isler); Bb. Pilipinas-International, current holder is Bea Rose Santiago who won 2013 Miss International; Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational, current holder is Johanna Datul who won 2013 Miss Supranational; and Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism International, current holder is Cindy Miranda who finished a finalist in the 2013 Miss Tourism Queen International.
