MYMP at The Grills

MANILA, Philippines - This month, love is definitely in the air as one of the country’s best acoustic acts comes to the South for a night of great music.

MYMP (photo) is set to perform at The Grills at South Station in Alabang, Muntinlupa City on Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, at 9 p.m. Chill out with the band and watch them perform some of their greatest hits.

​ MYMP, short for Make Your Momma Proud, was founded by guitarist Chin Alacantara in 1996. The band is comprised of Alcantara (acoustic guitars), Jana Liwag (vocals), Hannche Bobis (keyboards), Ibey Haber (bass) and Joel Tolentino (drums). The band has won several awards including the 2009 Star Awards for Music for Group of the Year, the 2008 MYX Music Award for Best Live Performance, and the 2009 Awit Award for Best Christmas Wishlist Album for Now.

​The band is best known for its acoustic versions of songs such as Especially For You by Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan; Eternal Flame by The Bangles; and Every Little Thing by Sting.  The members have also successfully released original singles such as Get Here and Now.

​It will be a night of love and music at South Station’s The Grills.
