MANILA, Philippines- US broadcasting company CBS and Europe’s leading entertainment company unite to form RTL-CBS Asia Entertainment Network.
These two big companies join forces to bring to Asia the latest, biggest, and exciting shows from different parts of the globe, through their partnership with the cable company Skycable.
CBS’s line up of successful and most-talked about shows includes “X-Factor US,†“America’s Got Talent,†“Elementary,†“Beauty & the Beast,†Under the Dome,†and “Late Show with David Letterman.â€
The entertainment channel wants to kick off the year with a bang. Besides the existing shows and series, they channel offers new shows and are first aired here in the Philippines.
One is “Consentino,†and the other is “Intelligence†which stars Josh Holloway, Mar Helgenberger, and Meghan Ory.
“Intelligence†is a story about a guy named Gabriel, who was transformed into a human super-computer and becomes US’s greatest weapon. A microchip was implanted in his mind, making it possible for him to have direct access to different worldwide information, internet, telephone, and satellite data.
He can also access private government documents and data centers to protect US from its enemies.
But then, he uses this information as well for his own goal—to find his wife Amelia who is missing after she was sent by CIA for a mission.
RTL-CBS Entertainment AVP for Programming Jenny Batti promises that this series is something that will “hook†the viewers, right from its first episode. She added that she "(loves) this series. I’ve watched the first four episodes and I love it.â€
“Intelligence†started airing in US four weeks ago and will start airing here in the Philippines on February 11, 9:55 p.m. at Skycable 53 SD.
RTL-CBS Entertainment HD will soon be available in Cable Link in March and Destiny Cable in April.
