Marco Polo the Musical opens Feb. 8

MANILA, Philippines - The 40-member international cast and artistic team of Marco Polo, An Untold Love Story, led by former New York-based actor David Bianco (fourth from left) as Marco Polo and Fil-Am West End actress Stephanie Reese (third from left) as Princess Kogajinon together with Chinggoy Alonso (second from left) as Rustigielo, Pinky Marquez as Empress Wu and business executive George Yang as Kublai Khan, is expected to enthrall audiences during the new musical’s Manila premiere on Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 9, 3:30 p.m. at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas, Pasig City. The first musical written and composed by a Filipino, Rogelio Saldo Chua, is presented by Artists Theater Company with Olivier Leonard as executive producer in cooperation with Meralco. The world premiere is being planned for Singapore this year to be preceded by a road show covering cities in Asia and Europe to drum up investor interest in the West End opening.
