James Yap laments not seeing son Bimby for a long while

MANILA, Philippines – James Yap hasn’t seen his son, James “Bimby” Yap Jr., for five months now.

“Matagal ko na siyang hindi nakikita,” he said in an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal. “Sana makita ko siya soon. Mahirap magsalita. Pero huwag na lang, okay lang.”

James was careful to talk about Bimby and his ex-wife Kris Aquino because of the gag order issued by the court in connection to his visiting rights to his son.

And though he would like to express his frustration to see his son, he’s sticking to the rule.

“No comment na lang muna ako diyan, kasi medyo siyempre lumagpas ako sa… may gag order pa kasi ako. Bawal magsalita sa kung anumang isyu sa aming dalawa ng nanay niya,” he said.

But in the end, James can’t help but say how much he misses his son, who he sees only through billboards and in his recent film “My Little Bossings.”

“Siyempre bilang tatay, mami-miss mo ‘yong anak mo,” he relates. “Basta dasal na lang na sana maayos na ang lahat at makasama mo ‘yong anak mo. Hopefully soon, makakasama ko na ang anak ko.”

Wedding plans

Meanwhile, James denies that he and his girlfriend Michaella Cazzola are already planning their wedding.

The PBA star says they’re not rushing their marriage.

“Hindi naman minamadali ‘yan,” he said. “So relax lang. Ini-enjoy lang namin ang isa’t isa, kasi ‘yon talaga ang importante. Kasi ‘yong pagpapakasal, hindi mawawala ‘yan. Basta kilalanin ‘nyo muna ang isa’t isa.”

But if fate indeed takes them to marriage, James has one wish for Michaella – that she accepts his son.

“Pag hindi niya matanggap na mayro’n akong anak, e, di hiwalay na lang,” he replied when asked what he’ll do if his girlfriend cannot accept his son.

“Kasi ‘yon ang importante, kailangan matanggap mo ‘yong anak ko, kasi package deal na ‘yan, kailangan maintindihan na niya na may anak ako,” he ended.
