Jessica Soho bashed online for comment on Vhong, Deniece CCTV footage

MANILA, Philippines - TV host Vhong Navarro's supporters bashed GMA News & Public Affairs Vice President Jessica Soho online on Wednesday due to her comments on the Closed-circuit camera television footage from Forbeswood Heights condominium recorded on the night the actor was mauled.

In her news program “State of the Nation with Jessica Soho,” the GMA News executive gave her opinion on the footage after it was reported by field reporter John Consulta on Tuesday night.

The CCTV footage was used by Navarro's camp as evidence for the complaints they filed against Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee's group. The charges include serious physical injuries, grave threats, grave coercion and unlawful arrest.

Jessica then asked Consulta about the report and then gave her own observation of the footage.

She said: “John, ito ay isang kaso ng he said-she said, the truth is out there sabi nga natin. Just to manage expectations ‘no, may CCTV, may pagka ano ‘yan, e, na ‘wow, may CCTV na."

“Pero actually, tugma ang timeline ng magkabilang kampo di ba, hindi naman nila nire-refute. Una dumating si Vhong Navarro, sumunod si Bernice and Cedric Lee, then may nakitang mga lumabas, parang I don’t know sa appreciation ko ng kaso kung tama ano, John."

“Pero parang do’n sa flow of events, [sa] version ng magkabilang kampo, walang makaiba, e, consistent sila. Pareho sila ng sinasabi. So I don’t know if itong video na kuha sa lobby ng condominium will amount to anything much.”

Jessica’s last line seemed to have agitated the fans of Navarro.

Other Twitter users, meanwhile, defended Jessica, saying she was just “misinterpreted.”

“AndBee” was referring to the part where Consulta showed Jessica a photo of two guys holding a man wearing a cap, who is believed to be Navarro with his hands tied.

Jessica said: “Kung hindi ako nagkakamali, tugma yan sa testimony ni Vhong Navarro. May biglang lumabas na dalawang lalaki within the condominium na tinutukan siya ng baril.”
