MANILA, Philippines - Primeline artists added to their resume high-profile and prestigious projects in the year of the Snake and they are expected to gallop in higher gear this time of the Horse.
Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza continue to fly. While busy with his duties as Siquijor Vice Governor, Dingdong keeps his fans happy by releasing the album Download under Viva Records. He also has a band named Dingdong Avanzado and The Doorbells which specializes in songs from the ’80s to present. They will be performing at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City on Feb. 13; at the Chef and Brewer in Ortigas, Jan. 28; and at the Vue Bar, Bellevue Hotel, Filinvest, Feb. 22 and March 29.
Their 10-year-old daughter Jayda is as perky, charming, pretty and effervescent as the best of them. She did inherit her parent’s artistic talents what with her budding singing, acting and directing skills but make no mistake about it, Jayda is her own person.
Gwen Zamora got everyone’s attention with her lead anti-heroine role in the just-concluded GMA early evening soap Binoy Henyo. This KLM campaign ambassador to Amsterdam is seen regularly on GMA 7’s Bubble Gang and taping for the new soap, Inamorata. She endorses Ysa Derma, Shinagawa, Posh Nails and For Me Clothing.
Like her siblings Christopher and Pinky, Melissa de Leon is singer-actor who was part of the GMA Primetime soap Love & Lies.
Talent also runs in the blood of Garie Concepcion, daughter of Gabby Concepcion. The singer-actress debuted on stage in Carrie The Musical and was the host of The World of Toyota. She is in Los Angeles taking up an acting course and while there, will perform in the Yolanda fundraiser of Bukas-Loob Sa Diyos Covenant Community.
Chuckie Dreyfus is back on track. Chuckie won new fans last year by appearing on several GMA soaps, including Magdalena and Mga Basang Sisiw. He is a blogger (chuckiedreyfuss.ph) and endorses Cookoo watches.
Another Primeline artist to watch out for is The Voice of the Philippines finalist Debra Victa of Team Bamboo. Her talents also include acting and hosting.
Ronnie Henares plays the lovable scoundrel Tommy Diones in Pepito Manaloto and was first gentleman to Lorna Tolentino in Genesis. His five-year-old band Midlife Crisis performs regularly at Chef and Brewer, Ortigas Center on Wednesdays.
Fil-Am singer, model, actor and musician Jeff Flores was part of Resorts World Manila’s Cinderella and Repertory Philippines Alice In Wonderland in 2013. He is taping for the new season of Kitchen Musical.
Lisa del Valle is singer, actress, voice coach, entrepreneur, composer and record producer. She co-owns the Noisy Neighbors Recording Studio.
Singer-actor Zach Salazar continues to perform with his band, Spellbound, at Strumms on Wednesdays and Solaire Fridays. He was cast in Resort World Manila’s King And I last year.
Two other good-looking Primeline artists are Swiss-Pinoy model, actor, host Marvin Kiefer, and Fil-Am and PBA point guard-actor-host Shawn Weinstein.
