‘X Factor’ winner Rose Fostanes cannot work as singer in Israel

MANILA, Philippines- Rose Fostanes cannot work as professional singer in Israel.

Rose was hailed as the first grand winner of “X Factor Israel” season 1, bringing pride to the Philippines and Filipinos.

Yet, according to the Israel’s Population and Immigration authority, Rose cannot work as a professional because she only possesses a special visa for caregivers, Philippine Entertainment Portal reported.

She’s been working in Israel as a caregiver for six years now.

According to the Immigration’s spokeswoman, “she can only work as a caregiver, according to the law. Of course she can sing—anyone can do that—but not as a professional.”

If Rose pursues singing as a career in Israel, it will be “considered a violation of her visa,” Times of Israel reported.
