Kim Chiu keeps mum on real score with Xian Lim

MANILA, Philippines - “We don’t owe you any of our personal lives.”

This was what Kim Chiu said when asked about the entertainment press on what is the real score between her and actor Xian Lim on Tuesday night.

During the press conference, Kim was asked by entertainment columnist Aster Amoyo for an “honest answer” on what their real status is, Philippine Entertainment Portal reported today, January 8.

Kim answered: “Ako, sinagot na rin namin ‘to sa last presscon namin. We don't owe you any of our personal lives siguro. You can think whatever you want to think as long as you're happy when you watch us on TV, nakikita ‘nyo kung paano kami ma-inlove, ganyan and 'yon na 'yon.”

The Kapamilya actress added: “Lahat naman tayo merong mga hindi dapat i-share o dapat i-share, and it's our choice and I hope you guys respect that.”

Another entertainment columnist, Roel Villacorta, admitted that he was “offended” by Kim’s reply.

“To tell you frankly, na-offend ako,” he admits. “Nakisimpatiya ako noong iwanan ka ni Gerald. Nakiiyak ako sa ‘yo, Kim. Ano ‘to pampelikula lang ba ang sweetness na ‘yan? Kasi daig ‘nyo pa ang totoong relasyon. Parang niloloko ‘nyo lang kami?”

With this, Kim apologized to the entertainment press.

“Ay, aabot na po ba tayo sa ganun?” she apologetically said. “At saka ‘yong movie po ‘yong pino-promote namin, hindi kaming dalawa. At saka sorry po, ‘yong term ko… sorry talaga.”

'Open book'

Still during the presscon, columnist/radio-TV host/ comedian Ogie Diaz spoke in behalf of the press saying it seems not fair that Kim only shares the down moments and not the happy moments of her life.

Heeding to Diaz's request, the actres shared: “Mataas na rating ng sopa, blockbuster, nakakuha ako ng Best Actress award.”

This, however, failed to satisfy the entertainment press members present during the event and some of the thought that the answer was just for “press release.”

“Hindi naman po ‘yon press release,” Kim clarified. “Siyempre, utang ko rin naman po ang success ko sa mga tao, na kayo [press], utang ko rin sa inyo kung ano ang narating ko ngayon.”

“At saka ‘yong buhay ko, simula nang lumabas ako sa TV open book na siya,” she added. “Kasi nagsimula ako sa Pinoy Big Brother, alam nila kung saan ako nanggaling."

“I also have respect for myself. May mga bagay na gusto akong i-share sa into at may mga bagay na sana akin lang kasi minsan lang ‘yon," she said.
