MANILA, Philippines - Supermalls, together with select entertainment personalities, recently put up the Operation Tulong Express booth at the SM Megamall Atrium to accept donations for the victims of Supertyphoon Yolanda.
The donations, ranging from clothes, water, food to cash, were contributed to the relief efforts of SM Supermalls in hard-hit areas in Visayas through its partner, the Philippine Red Cross.
The celebrity volunteers included DJ Toni Tony of Magic 89.9 who said that “as busy as we are with our personal schedule, it is good to give back during this time of the season.â€
For Hideo Muraoka, “It was really disheartening to see the victims losing almost everything important to them, and I knew immediately that I had to help out.†Other celebs at the event were Angel Benitez, Winwyn Marquez, Cheska Garcia, Doug Kramer, Tim Yap and Princess Snell.
