‘My Little Bossings’ tops first day box-office of MMFF 2013

MANILA, Philippines – The family comedy “My Little Bossings” topped the box-office on the first day of the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival.

According to a report aired on the ABS-CBN news cast “TV Patrol” on Wednesday, December 25, the James “Bimby” Yap Jr. and Ryzza Mae Dizon-starrer bested the seven other MMFF entries during the first day of the film festival.

The Vice Ganda-Maricel Soriano comedy “Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy” and the Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo horror film “Pagpag, Siyam na Buhay” emerged as the second and third most-watched film yesterday.

Meanwhile, “Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel,” starring Eugene Domingo and Sam Milby, was fourth in the box office.

The other four entries are: the action movies “10,000 Hours” and “Boy Golden,” the dance movie “Kaleidoscope World,” and the religious drama “Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir.”

The “TV Patrol” report added that the 2013 MMFF first day box-office was 12 percent higher than last year’s MMFF first-day gross.
