MANILA, Philippines - It’s the time of the year again when everywhere you turn seems to be filled with wonderful delights. As everyone is busy hanging their twinkly lights and wrapping a bunch of gifts, Kapuso artists share their wishes and thoughts, and look back to some of their memorable experiences to celebrate the joyful spirit of Christmas.
If Santa grants you one wish this Christmas, what will it be?
• Michael V — A clone! So I can do what I have and want to do at the same time.
• Lovi Poe — Maybe a very good movie. I want to do a good movie with my friends, Solenn Heussaff and Heart Evangelista
• Rocco Nacino — That he grants me a vacation with my family.
• Kylie Padilla — I would ask if he could let me go to Japan Disneyland for the Christmas Holiday, plus shopping for free.
• Mikael Daez — I always just want people to be happy and fulfilled so maybe Santa can pull that out of his gift sack.
• Benjamin Alves — Just for my family to be healthy. We’ve had a trying time, health-wise, this year so I’m just thankful we’re ending the year having passed that.
• Elmo Magalona — I wish for a memorable Christmas this year.
• Derrick Monasterio — If Santa will grant me one wish this Christmas, I wish for a new house, so that I have a place to live in when I’m old enough together with my own family.
• Ruru Madrid — More projects to come and good health.
• Saab Magalona — I wish I had more time to read my books.
What is your most memorable Christmas experience?
• Michael V — Christmas 2012. It’s the first time we had a real pine Christmas tree. The smell is enchanting.
• Lovi — I think the Christmas when I entered the business.
• Rocco — Probably, this coming Christmas dahil iyon yung magiging first Christmas ko na hindi ko makakasama ang family ko. Nag-iikot ako to promote my movie.
• Kylie — A long time ago in Australia were my best memories of Christmas, especially the decorations and gifts.
• Mikael — I’d say the Christmas before my dad passed away. We had a new Xbox, we went up to Baguio and just chilled there during the holidays. It was awesome!
• Benjamin — The last time we all spent Christmas here in Manila as a family.
It’s more on sa dalawa kong younger siblings, hindi pa kasi nila alam. Wish nila dati kay Santa ay bigyan sila ng hamsters so pag-gising nila nung Christmas Day, sa labas ng pintuan namin may dalawang hamster. Sobrang masaya yung Christmas and then the next day, nakawala yung hamsters. Up to now, naaalala ko talaga yung moment na yun.
• Janine — When I was younger when my lola had a show at merong Christmas episode na may Santa Claus.
• Derrick — My most memorable experience was last year’s Christmas because literally all our relatives came to our house and celebrated with us.
• Ruru — When I was 13 years old. Sinagot ako ng nililigawan ko nung Christmas Day. Parang puppy love siya.
• Charee — My most memorable Christmas experience was last year because first Christmas na may new member in the family, the baby of my Kuya.
• Saab — When the Xbox first came out and my dad got it for the whole family. We played games all night.
If you could make someone happy this Christmas, who would that be and why?
• Michael V — Is “everyone†too much? Because everyone deserves to be happy not just on Christmas but every day.
• Lovi — I definitely make my mom and my sister happy. I think they deserve the best.
• Rocco — The children who were affected by the typhoon.
• Kylie — My brothers and sisters. I love and miss them so much. I would do anything to make them happy.
• Mikael — Everyone! Wouldn’t it be boring to make just one person happy?
• Benjamin — My new nephew! I just want him to experience Christmas the way my parents worked hard for us to experience it.
• Elmo — My mom and I think the best gift I can give her this Christmas ay walang sakit ng ulo. It’s just our way of giving back to her.
• Janine — My sister, the youngest. Kasi siyempre siya pa yun talagang “super-duper†excited about Christmas so gusto ko lang na while she’s still kind of young na makuha niya lahat ng gusto niya. Important kasi yung memories na ganun.
• Derrick — The people in need. Because I have celebrated Christmas 18 years in a row with lavish food while the others don’t have any. I think it’s about time to give back.
• Ruru — Siguro yung Lola ko. Itong past few days, nagkakasakit kasi siya.
• Charee — Last week nag-attend ako sa Christmas party of East Avenue Medical Center Breast Cancer Foundation.
• Saab — My mom because she works so hard to make her kids happy all-year-round.
