Richard Yap: I don’t ask gifts from fans

MANILA, Philippines – “Be Careful With My Heart” star Richard Yap denied reports that he is soliciting gifts from his fans.

This comes after a showbiz gossip blog posted a blind item about an actor who solicits gifts from fans via social media. Many believe the item referred to Richard.
 
“You should just go through my tweets. Wala naman akong nakasulat doon na I want something,” he said in a taped interview aired on ABS-CBN’s late night news cast “Bandila” on Monday, December 16.

Richard said he is aware about the rumor but chooses to shrug it off.

“Minsan kasi, sinasabi nung mga those who follow me, they tell me that. But sorry to say, I don’t read garbage,” he said.

Richard also said: “There will be always be people will not be happy with what you have or what you have achieved.”

The 46-year-old actor also told “Bandila” that the morning soap opera “Be Careful with My Heart” may be extended past February of next year.

“Dapat this year lang, and then February next year (yung show). Then medyo, baka it might be longer. We just hope we continue giving people a good show,” Richard said.
