MANILA, Philippines - Philippine bet Andrea Koreen Garcia Medina (second from left, wearing a Miss Asia & Oceania sash) won third runner-up to 2013 Miss Intercontinental Yekaterina Plekhova of Russia last Saturday, Dec. 14, in Magdeburg, Germany. Completing the court of honor are Aleyda Enid Ortiz Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, first runner-up; Margarita Maria Peralta Tovar of Colombia, second runner-up; and Kayla Nel of South Africa, fourth runner-up. The five winners were also named intercontinental queens of Europe, North America, South America, Asia & Oceania and Africa. Plekhova received $15,000 cash prize and Rodriguez $3,000, while Tovar, Medina and Nel each got $1,000. Organized by the World Beauty Organization, the contest attracted 59 beauties from around the globe. Koreen was 2013 Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific International.
