The Glo-Co Celebrity Endorsers, Part 2

On Jan. 4 this year, Funfare published the roster of Glo-Co Celebrity Endorsers and it elicited positive reactions from readers, especially fans of stars of yesteryear. The list even merited mention on DZMM’s Music & Memories, the widely-followed Sunday afternoon program hosted by Boots Anson-Roa and Willie Nepomuceno which was unkindly taken off the air for whatever reason, making its avid followers (this one included) very angry. (The good news is that Ogie Alcasid, now the music director of TV5 who really knows what good music is and what beautiful memories are, might revive the program soon.)

There’s a popular demand for a Part 2 of the Glo-Co honor roll. Here it is, also prepared by Funfare’s “other beauty expert” Celso de Guzman Caparas, covering the period between 1949 and 1954 with endorsers (and their “beauty tips”) from different studios (Sampaguita, LVN, Premiere, Lebran, Nolasco Bros., Balintawak, Liwayway and Royal:
