Love is KC’s least priority

KC Concepcion has somehow proven her caliber as an actress of consequence after winning the Star Awards for TV Best Supporting Actress for her role as Alexis, the antagonist on the primetime teleserye Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala which also starred Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby. KC’s solid portrayal of Alexis who made the life of Juday’s character a living hell earned rave reviews from both critics and televiewers.

After the series, KC will be seen in another challenging role in the action movie Boy Golden which is one of the official entries in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). For her role in Boy Golden, KC underwent rigorous training under a Hollywood stunts director who also taught Angelina Jolie for the blockbuster film Tomb Raider.

KC is busy with her showbiz career but does it mean there’s no more space left for love in her life? Paulo Avelino’s admission that he and KC are dating surprised friends and fans.

KC recently broke her silence and talked about Paulo when she guested in Buzz ng Bayan. “Hinahangaan ko siya bilang aktor and since priority ko ngayon iyong work ko as an actress, ang ganda rin pag-usapan iyong trabaho namin,” she said.

She further explained, “Like I said before, I’m never, never going to date an actor. Ayaw ko na talaga. But Paulo is different from other actors. He is an Urian winner. He shares with me tips on character-building.”

KC said she enjoys hanging out with him although she previously clarified that they are not exclusively dating.

Is she ready to fall in love again? “Actually, isa iyan sa mga nakakapagpakaba sa akin na parang takot ba ako? I told Mama (Megastar Sharon Cuneta), ‘Ano ba ito? Lagi kong sinasabi na hindi ako ready mag-commit. Kailan ba ako magiging ready ulit? Takot ba ako ng over?’ Sabi lang niya at ng mga Tita ko, ‘Give yourself a chance.’”

KC stressed during the interview that Paulo is a good friend but she considers the award-winning actor as a boyfriend material.

Nikki not ready for a relationship

After her much talked-about break-up with Billy Crawford, Nikki Gil (photo) remains quiet.

Asked to comment about the controversial photos of Billy and Coleen Garcia with other friends, by Buzz ng Bayan in an event of her new endorsement, she quipped, “That’s none of my business. I have nothing to do with that. Everyone has a story to tell.”

Is she ready to hear news about Billy moving on or having a new relationship? “I don’t care! I just wanna move forward. I am done with that. I think I’ve wasted time and energy on it. I’m okay now. Things have been said. It is what it is. Hands off na ako diyan,” she declared.

Nikki admitted that she is not yet ready to be friends again with Billy. “I am not rude. I can be civil. I don’t also want to be fake. If your question (is) if we can be friends or not, parang not now. Parang no. I am just being real. I can’t. Not now, at least.”

Rumors are circulating that she is dating a businessman. “Oh my God! Friends lang. I’m single. I can go out and date and mingle with whoever I want but nothing serious. But I don’t want to jump from one relationship to another. May mga masasaktan in the process. I don’t want to hurt anybody. But I am open to friendships,” Nikki explained.

It’s good to see Nikki trying her best to move on and to stay positive in life. I still remember my interview with her in Bandila. Nikki admitted that despite what had happened, she still believes in love.
