MANILA, Philippines – Aiza Seguerra is hoping she could focus more on her singing career and work on a new album next year.

“Sana talaga this coming year makagawa na ng album,” Aiza said in an interview on Wednesday afternoon. “It's been a while. Medyo na-concentrate ako sa acting, 'di ko alam kung bakit. Pero sana I find time to really go back sa singing.”

Aiza bagged the Best Performance by a Female Recording Artist award in the recently concluded 26th Awit Awards.

Earlier this year, Aiza had several acting projects on television including the top-rating "Be Careful With My Heart."

Aside from being busy with acting, Aiza is also very much hooked into her relationship with girlfriend Liza Diño.

Asked about her relationship with Liza, Aiza said: "All in all it's an amazing relationship. Parang she's the type of person who you'd wish for."

Aiza is also part of the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "My Little Bossings," which starts James "Bimby" Yap Jr. and Ryzza Mae Dizon.

Describing Bimby, she said: “nakakatuwa siya. Sa start he's very quiet, but as you get to know him makulit din. Bugoy din. Sosyal na bugoy.”

Asked about Ryzza, Aiza said, “Sobrang lakas kumain na bata!” She added that she can also very much relate to the 8-year-old star since they both started in the “Eat Bulaga” contest Little Miss Philippines.

“She's very smart, she's very witty. Natutuwa ako kasi I would like to think na until now she's level-headed,” she said.

Since Aiza managed to be in the industry since she was a kid, there are some things that she thinks Ryzza should keep in mind as she goes on with her career and life as well.

“As she gets older she needs to see beyond that fame,” Aiza says. “If dadating sa point na akala natin showbiz is all about that, doon magsisimula ang downfall natin.”

She added: “hopefully as she gets older, she sees na she needs to learn other things — she needs to finish school at least high school, kailangan niyang continuously improve herself and her craft. And para sa akin longevity yun mahalaga, 'di basta sikat.”
