Vice Ganda four times wackier and funnier

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Was Vice Ganda wacky, crazy, funny, riotous and “unkaboggable” in his  past starrers?

Brace yourselves for VG’s next outing, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, Star Cinema and Viva Films joint venture for the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (starting Dec. 25).

The four-times-more-fun comedy brings back the box-office star-director tandem of VG and Wenn Deramas, this time only wackier, crazier, funnier, more riotous and definitely more “unkaboggable.”

It’s the story of quadruplets separated from one another when they were babies. Two of them, Team Girl-Boy, were brought to the US by their father; while the two others, Team Bakla-Tomboy, remained in the Philippines with their mother.

The four characters are:

• Girlie (Girl Vice), a spoiled brat, tactless and sexy lady who is unaware of the existence of her Philippine-raised siblings;

• Peter (Boy Vice), a reserved Amboy who is into car-racing but unfortunately with Hepatitis-C and needs a compatible liver donor;

• Mark (Bakla Vice), an outspoken but hardworking breadwinner deadset on making the family live a comfortable life; and

• Panying (Tomboy Vice), a soft-spoken lesbian sister who is into music.

It takes a multi-talented actor-actress like Vice Ganda to flesh out the four characters convincingly.

Also in the cast are Maricel Soriano (as the quadruplets’ loving mother), Joey Marquez (as the rich businessman-father of the quadruplets), Cristine Reyes (the beautiful assistant bar manager who is Panying’s love interest), Joy Viado (as the quadruplets’ paternal senile grandmother), Ruffa Gutierrez (as the liberated girlfriend of Peter), JC de Vera (as the handsome farmer friend of Mark) and Ejay Falcon (as the bar’s macho bouncer who will become Mark’s love interest).

The movie also stars Xyriel Manabat, Kiray Celis, JM Ibañez, Red Bustamante (who all play Maricel’s adopted children), Bobby Andrews (Maricel’s gay cousin) and Angelu de Leon (Maricel’s lesbian cousin).

Get ready to LOL (laugh out loud) four times longer and don’t forget to bring medicine for bellyache. Bring three companions to share the fun four times over.

Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy hits theaters nationwide starting on Dec. 25.
