Marathon for Yolanda victims

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The organizing committee of the first Cavinti Road and Trail Adventure Marathon (CRT42) has decided that the prize money supposedly intended for the winners of its 21k and 42k distance race will be donated to the victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda.

The race organizers are well-aware of the hardships our Visayan Kababayan stricken by the typhoon are undergoing, so instead of conducting the event just for a chosen few, the prize will be used as a means of extending help to them which is also CRT42’s social responsibility.

However, the winners will still receive prizes in the form of gift cheques from our sponsors in lieu of cash.

Aside from the victims of Yolanda, other beneficiaries include the Cavinti Deaf School and for the out-of-school youth of Cavinti.

The first-ever CRT42 will be held on Nov. 30 in the beautiful, centuries-old town of Cavinti, Laguna Province and starts at the Town Plaza, fronting the historic Our Lord Parish Church.

For those who have not registered yet or are intending to register for the 42k and 21k categories, few remaining slots left and it will be finally closed once bib nos. run out.

In-store registration will be at Second Wind Running Stores (All branches); ARC Manila Running store (Quirino Ave. cor. Roxas Blvd.); 100 Miles Café Second Floor, Fort Pointe, Bonifacio Global City; Trinity Bikeshop Quezon City; Green Planet Bikeshop San Pablo City, Laguna; and AX Fitness Center, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
