Axwell, Romero in fund-raising show
MANILA, Philippines - The upcoming Viber music event part of #Viberhelps efforts to help Typhoon Haiyan families — United Republiq electronic music — will be donating all proceeds to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) with the Philippine Red Cross as one of the beneficiaries. Headlining the event is Swedish DJ Axwell who, after his stint with Swedish House Mafia, is now an independent DJ, record producer and label owner. Apart from world smash hits Save the World and Don’t You Worry Child, to name a few, Axwell is also known for his Grammy-nominated hit, In My Mind.
Nicky, on the other hand, is a Dutch DJ and house music producer. He is reputable for collaborating with world-renowned DJs and music icons, Tiesto, Avicii and David Guetta.
Joining them are the Dutch duo Ralph van Vugt and Devi van der Horst of NO_ID, who instantly shook the Dutch DJ scene upon winning the Amsterdam Dance Event Demolition Contest with the track, Wurld, in 2008.
All international and local DJs have decided to pull together and contribute their talent fees in an effort to provide relief for the tragedy pledging an estimated P7M.
