MANILA, Philippines - This early, My Little Bossings, starring box-office stars Vic Sotto and Kris Aquino, along with the cute tandem of Ryzza Mae Dizon and James “Bimby†Aquino Yap, has been generating the most buzz from among the entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in December.
While many are already predicting that it will be the box-office runaway winner this holiday season, the producers behind the movie — OctoArts Films, M-Zet Films, APT Entertainment and Kris Aquino Productions — are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that My Little Bossings will not only be a heartwarming, quality movie but one that will also share lessons on life for the young and old alike. The film is going to be something that the whole family can enjoy as it is packed with humor, wit and laughter.
Ryzza Mae and Bimby have struck up an extraordinary chemistry when they started working together. Director Marlon Rivera saw this right off the bat and the cast and crew working with the two kids in the film have been treated to so much fun as they witnessed the natural rapport between the very down-to-earth Ryzza Mae and the “socially elite†Bimby.
“Ryzza does not speak much English while Bimby does not speak much Tagalog. Sobrang cute nila lalo na kapag nag-uusap na silang dalawa. Sa bandang huli, Ryzza ends up teaching Bimby Tagalog words while Bimby teaches Ryzza English words,†says producer Orly Ilacad of OctoArts Films.
Boss Orly says that the chemistry between the two kids have been exciting the viewers. “This is perhaps the reason why there is much excitement about the movie this early. We’re very happy with the public’s curiosity for the two child superstars.â€
Vic, for his part, is very happy with the way the movie is turning out to be. “Nakakatuwa talaga yung dalawang bata. They complement each other so well. You can see that when you watch the movie. Nagtuturuan, nagtatawanan, sabay napapagod, sabay nagugutom. We’re always happy on the set. It’s like playtime,†he says.
Kris lends utmost support to her son’s first movie outing. She is very hands-on as a producer. She also makes sure that Bimby gets everything he needs during the shoot. She specifically hired a personal stylist and make-up artist for Bimby. This is why Bimby looks so dapper and cute playing the role of a rich boy in the film.
My Little Bossings also stars Aiza Seguerra, Jaclyn Jose, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, Barbie Forteza, Neil Coleta and Neil Sese from the direction of Marlon Rivera. Story and screenplay are by Bibeth Orteza.
Vic plays the role Torky Villanueva who works as a bookeeper for the millionaire cash management specialist Baba Atienza (Kris). Because of some conflict in her business, Baba entrusts her son Justin (Bimby) to Torky’s care for fear of her life. In the meantime, Torky’s niece Ice (Aiza) who lives in the same house with him, is involved in an advocacy for streetchildren where street kid Ching (Ryzza) becomes her special ward. Ice brings Ching home when the orphanage closed down. The fun begins when all these people start living in one roof while they each tackle his respective personal dilemma.
My Little Bossings starts showing on Christmas Day as an entry to the 2013 MMFF.
