MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines got a total of nine nominations at the 2013 Asian TV Awards, which will be held at Singapore on Dec. 5.
Kapuso actress Marian Rivera and Lorna Tolentino are both nominated in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category. Marian is nominated for her role in “Temptation of Wife,†a local adaptation of the Korean soap opera of the same name. Meanwhile, Lorna nabbed a nomination for her work in “Pahiram ng Sandali.â€

The two will compete for the award with four other countries from Taiwan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.
Michael V., a past winner and a constant nominee in the Asian TV Awards, is nominated once again this year as in the Best Comedy Performance by an Actor/Actress category for his work in the GMA-7 sketch show “Bubble Gang.â€
Kris Aquino also got a nomination in the Best Entertainment Presenter/Host category for her work in the ABS-CBN morning talk show “Kris TV.†She is nominated with four other hosts from Singapore and Thailand.
ABS-CBN’s “The X Factor†was also nominated in the Best Reality Show category.

Meanwhile, apart from the acting nods, GMA-7 got four categories for their news programs. Kapuso news programs “Saksi†and “24 Oras†got nods in the Best News Programme category and “Reporter’s Notebook†was nominated in the Best Current Affairs Programs categoryfor their coverage of typhoon Pablo.
“Born Impact†gets a Best Natural History or Wildlife Program nod.
Overall, GMA-7 received seven nominations, while ABS-CBN received two.
