MANILA, Philippines – Rayver Cruz would rather not comment on the recent breakup of Cristine Reyes and Derek Ramsay.
In an interview during the press conference for the 9th Cinema One Originals film festival on Tuesday, October 5, the 24-year-old actor understands why he’s often asked to comment on matters concerning his ex-girlfriend.
However, “Actually kasi, sa totoo lang, sa mga issues na lumalabas, ayoko na mag-comment,†Rayver said.
“Siguro, right ko naman yun na ayoko na lang pag-usapan kasi parang binabalik lang ng binabalik,†he added.
But the “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin†star assured that “mabait na tao si Cristine.â€

Now that he and Cristine are both single again, is there a chance of reconciliation for the two?
“Friends na lang muna talaga,†he said.
Rayver added he currently enjoys being single.
“Nae-enjoy ko yung pagiging single. Mas focused ako sa work and sa mga priorities ko sa buhay,†he said.
“Hindi ko kasi hinahanap yung relasyon, e. Si AA, dumating lang yan sa buhay ko. Darating at darating yan.â€
Meanwhile, Rayver remains ecstatic about the recent success of the film “On The Job,†which recently had theatrical screenings in the United States.

The rights of the film, which stars Gerald Anderson, Joel Torre, and Piolo Pascual, was also reportedly optioned by Universal Pictures, with a Hollywood remake in the works.
“Ang saya to be a part of that movie. Habang buhay ko itong tatandaan,†he said.
Asked who he would want to play his part in the film if ever it gets the Hollywood treat, Rayver quipped: “Di ba yung sa Cannes na version nung film, sobrang ikli lang ng participation ko? Sabi ko kay Gerald, ‘Ok lang na maikli role ko, kasi ako ang magca-cameo dun’.â€
