MANILA, Philippines – Kapamilya actress Ynna Asistio speaks up on being tagged as the third party behind the breakup of Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes.
It was reported that Ynna went out with Derek even before the Kapatid actor and Cristine were an item.
Ynna was in a relationship with GMA-7 actor Mark Herras. They broke up after being in a relationship for five years last July.
In an interview with ABS-CBN ‘s showbiz talk show “Buzz ng Bayan†on Sunday, November 3, Ynna stressed that she and Derek are only friends. The 22-year-old actress said she became friends with Derek through the photo sharing application Instagram and is a long-time friend of Cristine.

“Naging constant yung communication namin sa Instagram. Una, hindi ko siya pinapansin kasi uso yung posers. Then, syempre, nung na-confirm ko na siya, nagulat din ako kasi, isang Derek Ramsay papansinin ako?†she told “Buzz ng Bayan.â€
However, Ynna said she distanced herself from Derek when he became Cristine’s boyfriend.
“I had to kasi ang daming isyu agad na lumabas nung naging sila,†she said.
The former GMA-7 artist also said on the issue: “Honestly, ang dami po talagang umaway sa akin sa Instagram na talagang napilitan akong medyo mag-lie low.â€
“I mean, nasaktan ako pero alam ko naman yung totoo and alam kong hindi totoo yung sinasabi ng ibang tao.â€

She added all’s well between her and Cristine.
Ynna also admitted she’s the one who broke up with Mark.
“Sobrang hirap for me kasi kailangan kong panindigan yung ginawa ko,†Ynna said, adding she got through the breakup with the help of family, school, and her church ministry.
“Feeling ko kung hindi po ako napunta din, hindi ko kakayanin kasi five years din po yun. And wala po akong nire-regret kasi alam kong naging mabuti akong girlfriend kay Mark,†she said. “Okay po ako ngayon and okay din kami ngayon as friends. Natutuwa ako na nagawa kong pasayahin yung sarili ko and isip yung sarili ko naman."
