Enrique Gil doesn’t want to dwell on comparisons with Daniel Padilla

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Enrique Gil doesn’t want to dwell on people’s comparison between him and Daniel Padilla.

It could be remembered that they’ve been pitted against each other on ABS-CBN’s defunct primetime series “Princess and I,” where their characters fight over Kathryn Bernardo’s character.

“Ganun talaga, wala tayong magagawa,” said Enrique in an interview Tuesday afternoon, October 22.

“Since Princess and I lagi kami magkasama, sanay na kami, sanay na sanay na. Minsan may maninira sa amin, we’re used to it, di ba?"

“Just do your best so people talk about you, and give back to them,” he added.

Meanwhile, Enrique will be having a dance concert on Friday, Nov. 29,  at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

He was nervous at first for he didn’t expect to have a concert that will run for an hour and a half in such a big venue.

“Kasi di ba ang daming seats nun, ang daming kailangan punuin dun,” he asked back to the entertainment press.

“Bahala na siguro, kahit ano na mangyari basta yung point ko, kung sino ang pumunta dun sa Araneta, sa show ko, gusto ko mag-enjoy sila."

“Yun lang talaga ang goal ko, kahit hindi mapuno, okay lang basta successful ang show tsaka lahat nang pumunta ay masasabing sulit yung binayad nila,” he continued.

Though he’ll have less time to prepare for this concert since he’ll be gone for two weeks for a tour, Enrique remains positive.

“Masasabing kahit hindi pa handa, kailangan mindset handa na ko. Kaya natin ‘yan!” he said with a grin.
