Dolphy medical mission takes off Oct. 5

MANILA, Philippines - The Comedy King of the Philippines finally gets his long-time wish.

A short-term medical mission dubbed as Mula Kay Pidol Alay Kalusugan takes off tomorrow, Oct. 5 at the Manila Broadcasting and  Star City Parking Area, CCP Complex, Roxas Blvd., Manila. Registration starts at 6 a.m. The event will be from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Taking cue from the popular late comedian Dolphy’s humanity, the Dolphy Aid Para sa Pinoy Foundation, Inc., in cooperation with Kaizz Ventures, Inc. and the Manila Broadcasting Company, offers free check-up and consultation services for the general public on optical, dental, pediatric and geriatric health; obstetrics and gynecology; blood sugar/blood typing tests; and massage and therapy, etc.

Free medicines, including vitamins and health supplements, will be distributed during the day. A second medical mission is slated on Nov. 30 at Taguig City.

The grand public service event is made possible by media sponsors ABS-CBN, GMA 7, TV5, DZRH VOLTRACOMM Operation tulong and KALINGA.
