Miss Resorts World Manila 2013 Best in Swimsuit, Press Darling revealed

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – A total of 20 candidates for Miss Resorts World Manila 2013 competed for Best in Swimsuit and Darling of the Press Tuesday night, Oct. 1.

The contestants walked the ramp wearing the official swimsuit for the competition, proving that they deserve to win the two special awards that night.

Among the judges are Tati Fortuna, Managing Director of Scribble Works Productions; Martin Paz, Chief Integrated Marketing Officer of Resorts World Manila; Stephen Reilly, Chief Operating Officer of Resorts World Mania; Scott Sibley, Chief Hotel Operating Officer of Resorts World Manila; and Jeff Evora, Sr. Director for Gaming Events and Promotions of Resorts World Manila.

For the Darling of the Press, media members invited for that night’s event were given a device where they could rate the candidates as they walk the ramp, with 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest.

The scores given by judges for the Best in Swimsuit award were based on the following criteria: fit body (30 percent), proportion (30 percent), confidence (20 percent) and overall impact (20 percent).

Nastasha Cardel was named the Darling of the Press while Jaysel Arrozal won the Best in Swimsuit award.

Both winners took home Php25,000 worth of gift certificate from Calayan.

On Nov. 30, we will find out who among the twenty candidates will be hailed as Miss Resorts World 2013.
