Grand Kapuso concert in Dubai

MANILA, Philippines - GMA International sets the stage for the biggest and grandest gathering of Kapuso stars in the Middle East via KaPUSONG PINOY sa Dubai show happening today at the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium Indian High School.

With two shows scheduled at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., the international concert will feature some of GMA’s brightest stars led by Christian Bautista, Rachelle Ann Go, Julie Anne San Jose and Marian Rivera.

Marian, who recently renewed her ties with the Kapuso Network, cannot wait to see and perform for her fans in the UAE as she prepared song numbers for them. Expressing her excitement, “I’m looking forward to our concert in the Middle East to spend time with and personally thank my fans and supporters in the region.”

Meanwhile, Sunday All Stars mainstays Christian, Rachelle Ann and Julie Anne will display their vocal prowess in a string of masterfully conceptualized numbers.

“This will be my first time to perform abroad as a Kapuso, and I thank GMA International for giving me this chance to perform for our kababayan,” said Christian.

Pinoys in the UAE look forward to how these artists will collaborate among themselves to give the audience a concert they will surely remember.

“It’s always a pleasure to perform before our fellow Pinoys outside of the country, and bring with them a piece of home through our performances,” says Rachelle Ann.

Julie Anne shares the same sentiment saying that she feels “inspired to be part of this grand Kapuso event, and play a role in the fulfilment of GMA International’s commitment to its worldwide audience.”

“This concert marks the first time that four of GMA’s top stars will perform together in Dubai.  This is a special event to show our appreciation for GMA Pinoy TV’s loyal viewers in the UAE since we launched GMA Pinoy TV in 2006, followed by GMA Life TV in 2009, and GMA News TV International in 2013,” said GMA VP and head of International Operations Joseph Francia. “More importantly, this is our chance to make them feel closer to home.”

Cliff Nelson, CEO of My-HD, GMA’s exclusive distribution partner in the Middle East, also echoes this excitement towards the upcoming event, “We are glad to be jointly organizing this concert with GMA International, as it is intended to give the Filipino community in this region an opportunity to experience live entertainment with top celebrities and artists from their homeland. The concert is another building block added to our successful collaboration with GMA, the No. 1 Filipino Network, which has helped leverage our value proposition and build a diversified bouquet of family entertainment channels exclusively across the MENA region on the My-HD platform.”

Partnering with GMA International are Cebu Pacific, Pag Ibig Fund, Amaia, Mekeni Food Products, Shakey’s and Camella.
