Judy Ann understands Sharon’s Twitter ourburst

MANILA, Philippines- “Parang lahat na lang ng sabihin niya negative, 'wag naman. Kasi may karapatan naman siya, e.”

Thus said Judy Ann Santos in support to Sharon Cuneta’s tweets Wednesday night, Sept. 25, defending her husband, former senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan.

Sharon defended the former senator against Sen. Jinggoy Estrada's speech on the pork barrel scam.

Judy Ann and her husband Ryan is a close friend of Sharon and Kiko.

In an interview this afternoon, September 26, Juday says she understands what the Megastar is going through.

“Kasi asawa siya, di ba?” she asked-back to the reporters.

“Ako man dumaan sa gano’n si Ryan halimbawa sa ganyang sitwasyon, at alam ko sa sarili ko na hindi ganyan ang asawa ko magpupuyos din naman ang dibdib ko.”

She doesn’t see anything wrong as well if Sharon put out her reaction through a social media site.

She thinks that such action was a big deal because “artista siya. Pero I guess kung normal na tao, kung halimbawa ordinaryong tao lang ang gagawa  no’n, baka hindi pansinin, baka suportahan pa.”

Contract with ABS-CBN

Meanwhile, Judy Ann will be busy on her next project with ABS-CBN, a game show for toddlers titled "Bet on Your Baby."

She signed in for the new project after her short-lived primetime show "Wag Ka Lang Mawawala."

The Kapamilya star had issues with the network after supposed plans of moving the primetime show to a new time slot, which spawned speculations that Judy Ann may move to another network.

Juday clarified that she did not plan to leave the network, saying that her new game show's airing had been set even before the drama series was taken off the air.

“Naka-set na siya talaga, naka-ready na, ako lang talaga ‘yong nagsabi na ‘Teka muna, ‘wag muna.’

“Uhm, It’s not that I’m saying no, hindi rin naman ako nagpapakipot. Ayaw ko lang pumasok muna do’n sa isang talk with ABS na hindi pa talaga ako totally okay.

“Kumbaga wala naman na akong issue at that time, e, kumbaga gusto ko na lang kung itutuloy ko ‘to wala na akong hang ups sa ABS. Ayaw ko kasi magsimula na naman ng relationship with them na mayro’n pa pala akong sama ng loob.”

Though she admits there were offers from other networks to have a meeting with her, yet it didn’t push through because she already signed with the Kapamilya network.

She didn’t also want the people to think that “nagpapa-yummy ako. Ayaw ko lumabas na nagpapataas ka ng value, hindi naman talaga ‘yon ang pinupunto ko.

“Gusto ko lang muna talaga manahimik ng mga panahong ‘yon.”

"Bet on Your Baby" will start this October every Saturday night on ABS-CBN.
