MANILA, Philippines - Raymart Santiago filed a 22-page counter-affidavit disclaiming the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children case filed against him by his estranged wife Claudine Barretto on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
According to a report by GMA-7’s news program “24 Oras†aired Sept. 24, the counter-affidavit contains photos of Raymart with bruises he allegedly got from Claudine.
The affidavit also includes statements from Claudine’s siblings JJ, Gretchen and Marjorie Barretto.
The evidences presented by the actor are to prove that Claudine did not suffer economic, sexual, financial and physical abuse, as the actress earlier claimed in her Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children case against Raymart.

Meanwhile, in a statement sent to entertainment news site Philippine Entertainment Portal, Claudine’s lawyer Ferdinand Topacio said this latest development is a “cheap attempt to muddle the issue as to whether or not he inflicted physical, emotional, psychological, and economic abuse upon Ms. Barretto.â€
