UE law alumni honor roll awarding rites Sept. 26

MANILA, Philippines - University of the East’s College of Law (UE CLaw) Dean Amado Valdez announces the recipients for its alumni honor roll award this year and the awarding rites on Sept. 26, 6 p.m. at the Badjao Room, Century Park Hotel. 

The selection committee, chaired by Dr. Hermogenes Pobre, president and publisher of the Manila Bulletin Publishing Corp., has chosen the following distinguished and exemplary UE CLaw graduates to receive the Dean of the College of Law 2013 Alumni Honor Roll Award, namely: former Dean Carlos Ortega of UE CLaw, Ll.B.,1956;  lawyer Rufino Tan, president of Asian School of Business Technology, Inc. (1957); lawyer Rogelio Quiambao (1963); former Gov. Douglas Cagas Sr. of Davao Del Sur (1967); lawyer Dimapuno Datu-Ramos (1969); Rep. Harlin Abayon of the First District of Northern Samar (1973); Judge Carlos Valenzuela of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 213, Mandaluyong City (1976); Commissioner Dominador Medroso Jr., National Labor Relation Commission, eighth division (1979); Judge Felix Reyes of RTC Branch 272, Marikina City (1986); and lawyer Lilian Barribal-Co, chief of Financial Management Office, OCA (1989).

Dean Valdez is also inviting all the previous awardees to join the celebration at the awarding rites, as part of the UE’s 67th foundation anniversary.
