MANILA, Philippines - After years of pushing boundaries and challenging the norm, Dutdutan, a tattoo convention, is once again all armed to go great guns. Hailed this year as Dutdutan Trece, the weekend event is set to roll on Sept. 27 and 28 at the World Trade Center (WTC), Pasay City.
Dutdutan Trece is expected to be better and badder, consistent with all previous Dutdutan events. And in the last 12 years, it never disappoint.
Raising the bar a few notches higher, event presenter Tribal Gear Philippines is bringing in hardcore band Payable On Death a.k.a. POD to rock both nights of the two-day event with the alternative rap metal sounds they’re known for. Also flying in to celebrate ink are Unauthorized Ink’s infamous Big Tiny, world-renowned tattoo artist Steve Soto of Goodfellas Tattoo and main man, Tribal founder Bobby Ruiz.
Dutdutan Trece will accommodate thousands of artists, collectors and ink enthusiasts. One hundred forty booths will be set up in the three halls of WTC to be manned by the best local and international tattoo artists from all over the country and around the world. A gathering of the biggest guns in the skin art scene is geared up to cater to all your tattooing fantasies. More vendors and traders than ever before will be offering a huge range of tattoo services, equipment and aftercare products.
Event highlights will include regular event features such as the annual tattoo competitions, professional URCC fights, FHM bikini contest, Drum Duel and Project Detonation. Not to be missed are performances from top local music acts.
