MANILA, Philippines - The newest addition to the roster of PAGCOR’s homegrown artists the K Menn are set to take center stage in various Casino Filipino branches this month with K Brosas as special guest.
The all-male singing group is composed of Steev Fernandez, Mykle Benedicto and Eeboy (photo) who were all discovered through the three seasons of the OPM@PAGCOR nationwide singing tilt, which began in 2011.
PAGCOR’s AVP for entertainment Bong Quintana said that although they did not win the grand prize in the OPM@PAGCOR contest, “we saw their talent and potential as performers and decided to put them together in a group. Steev, Mykle and Eeboy are all promising singers. All they need is a break and PAGCOR is here to give them that.â€
According to Quintana, the K Menn’s concert tour will feature a variety of musical genres that will highlight their musical talent. “The letter ‘K’ in the group’s name stands for ‘Kool, Kalm and Kollected.’ But it can also mean ‘Kaseksihan, Kakiligan and Kakulitan’ which also best describe what the three members have to offer aside from their singing talent. ‘Kakwelahan’ will be provided by no less than K Brosas who is famous not only for her undeniable wit but also her singing prowess,†Quintana explained.
“Every show that we produce is different from the past shows. The choice of songs and musical arrangement are always new,†Quintana added.
Meanwhile, Mykle — the newest addition to the PAGCOR Artists roster — said Casino Filipino guests can expect a different experience watching K Menn’s concert tour. “This tour will be exciting because I am performing with my new group. We are going to perform with K Brosas who is not just a singer but also a renowned actress-comedienne. She will surely add fun to our show,†he said.
The K Menn Concert Tour kicked off last Sept. 4. Other shows will follow at CF Davao on Sept. 20, CF Pavilion on Sept. 25 and CF Tagaytay on Sept. 28. All shows will start at 9 p.m. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis.
