After failed marriage, Ai Ai waits for ‘God’s perfect timing’

MANILA, Philippines - Ai Ai delas Alas said one of the things she has learned after her separation from husband Jed Salang is “to think that God has another plan for me.”

“Siguro may plano pa ang Diyos sa akin na lahat tayo hindi pa natin alam pero, sabi nga nila, si God ay may perfect timing” she said at the set of the ABS-CBN comedy show “Toda Max” recently.

The Kapamilya comedienne added, “May ibibigay siya sa oras na gusto niya. Kung ano yung perfect timing Niya, yun ang best na ibibigay niya para sa iyo.”

Last week, it was rumored that Ai Ai is back in the dating game, after she posted a photo of her Mexican-Hawaiian male friend on the mobile photo sharing service Instagram. This is just four months after Ai Ai revealed in a TV interview that she has separated with Salang just a month after their marriage.

But the “Kung Fu Divas” star said, “for the record, hindi pa ako ready (for) anything.”

“Friend, oo, why not. Pero hindi pa ako ready sa seryoso na relationship,” Ai Ai said.

Ai Ai admitted she’s still hurting and is still healing from the ordeal.

Asked if she’s willing to forgive Salang in the future, Ai Ai said, “Lahat na yun kasama sa healing process, e.”

However, in her case, being able to forgive might take some time.

“Ang tao kasi, lahat naman tao, kailangan natin ng time. Hindi lahat ng tao, pare-pareho ang healing process. May madali, may hindi madali. Pero lahat tayo darating doon sa tamang time,” Ai Ai said.

She added, “Kasi sabi nga nila, lahat ng sugat ay nahihilom ng panahon. So yung panahon na yun, hihintayin natin.”

The 48-year-old comedienne spoke to the press to promote the second anniversary special of the ABS-CBN sitcom “Toda Max” this October. Ai Ai was added to the cast this year, after Robin Padilla left the show to concentrate on his movie projects.

“Siguro nakatulong (ako). And I hope makatulong pa ako na maiangat yung ratings,” she said on her addition to the show.

“Magkakaswak naman kami. Kayang kaya niya iyon and may timing naman siya,” Ai Ai said of “Toda Max” co-star Angel Locsin. “Sabi ko lang sa kanya na ang drama, bilisan mo lang ng kaunti, comedy na iyon.”
