Julia Barretto remains positive amid family controversies

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Julia Barretto can’t help but giggle and blush whenever anyone would say that she’s one of the hottest young stars these days.

TThe young Kampamilya actress said in an interview last September 13 at the Teen Week PH media launch by Uniliver that she wouldn’t want to dwell on the “hard parts” of showbiz.

Instead, she wants to enjoy the opportunity given to her and won't let these controversies “get in the way.” What matters for her now is the “positive side of being in the industry at a very young age.”

Some of the things that are repeatedly being asked from Julia are the controversies involving her relatives, including her mom Marjorie Barretto who has a misunderstanding with her aunt Claudine. She's also asked about her aunt Claudine’s court battle against her husband Raymart Santiago.

Yet the young actress has always refused to comment about these controversies saying that she’s not “directly involved” with the issues.

"It’s not for you to handle, hindi mo problema, so pabayaan na lang sila,” she would say when asked about the issues between her mom and their family.

Though she’s not meddling with the adults’ issues, she sees to it that her mom feels her one hundred percent support no matter what.

Meanwhile, Julia said she is excited about her upcoming Kapamilya show "Mira Bella."

The program will replace her supposed launching project, Cofradia, which was shelved due to racial issues raised by the public.

Julia promises that Mira Bella will be as exciting as her first supposed project. She’s also looking forward to working with her two leading men Diego Loyzaga and Kiko Estrada. - Chuck Smith and Eunice Blanco
