Kapuso stars lead Learniversity 2013

MANILA, Philippines - Following its successful launch last year, thousands of students are again expected to take part in the latest leg of Learniversity, GMA News TV’s unique student welfare forum, which will kick off tomorrow, Sept. 17.

Featuring various Kapuso personalities, Learniversity is an innovative project that aims to inform, educate and inspire students on what career path they should take.

Jiggy Manicad, Chef Boy Logro and Suzette Doctolero are among those tapped as speakers for this year’s Learniversity. They all exhibit excellence in their respective fields. They will be sharing their experiences and insightful lessons in life to participating students at the Freedom Hall of the Lyceum of the Philippines.

Being with GMA Network for more than 15 years to date, Jiggy currently anchors GMA 7’s 24Oras Weekend Edition, GMA News TV’s on-site newscast Quick Response Team and co-hosts the public affairs program Reporter’s Notebook. Jiggy was also recognized as one of the country’s Ten Outstanding Young Men of 2012.

Meanwhile, Chef Boy, popularly known in the hotel industry as the master executive chef, headlines the award-winning shows Kusina Master and Idol Sa Kusina. These programs air on GMA 7 and GMA News TV, respectively.

Suzette, on the other hand, is the creator and head writer of the ground-breaking primetime drama My Husband’s Lover, which has been making a buzz since it premiered in June. Suzette is known for creating a number of GMA’s original top-rating programs including Amaya, One True Love, Indio and the Encantadia trilogy.

Another highlight of the Learniversity is the event’s tips on job interviews shared by experts including personality and life coach Sam Mendoza, who acquired his expertise from Top 3 coaching organizations abroad. He co-founded the International Coach Federation-Philippines and is one of the life coaches of GMA News TV’s Personalan.

Learniversity is another milestone project of GMA Marketing and Productions Inc. (GMPI). During its launch last year, Learniversity trooped to University of the East (Recto) and PUP. The project became a trending topic on Twitter.
