Filipino cooking maven Nora Daza passes away
MANILA, Philippines - Culinary personality Nora Daza, well-known for her cookbooks and TV shows that celebrated Filipino cuisine, passed away on Friday. She was 84.
Actress Isabelle Daza, the granddaughter of Nora, confirmed the news via social media.
“To my Lola Nora, words can't express how sad I am that you left us today. Thank you for being such a great and positive person who always brought a smile to my face,†she posted on her Instagram account Friday morning.
The 25-year-old actress-model added: “Thank you for sharing all your adventures with me, for being so generous and nurturing. Thank you for teaching me how to cook and to speak french. For being there when I fought with my parents and taking my side. Thank you for making me feel loved. You were the best grandmother I could ever ask for. And I am so proud of you. If I could just have one more day to tell you i you've made a huge impact on my life and I love you so much.â€
Isabelle is the daughter of Bong Daza, Nora’s son.

Nora was also survived by her children, restaurateur-TV personality Sandy Daza and magazine editor Nina Puyat.
Sandy also confirmed the news in an interview with a lifestyle news site.
Nora became a household name with the cooking show “Cooking it Up with Nora†and her “Let’s Cook with Nora†cookbooks.
