'Be Careful With My Heart’ movie no longer part of MMFF 2013

MANILA, Philippines - The movie adaptation of the morning soap opera “Be Careful With My Heart” backed out of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

According to a report aired on the ABS-CBN news program “TV Patrol,” Star Cinema, the film’s producer, decided to beg off from the festival due to the tight schedule of the TV show’s cast.

The cast, led by Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap, is still taping episodes for “Be Careful with my Heart” TV show, which is slated to end later this year.

“Sayang ito. Malakas sana ito. Number one sana ito,” MMFF over-all chairman Francis Tolentino told “TV Patrol.”

There’s still no word from Star Cinema if the film will push through outside the MMFF.

“Be Careful With My Heart” is the second film to back out of this year’s MMFF. Bong Revilla pulled out his film “My Super Kap” from the film festival last July. It was replaced by Aljur Abrenica and Rhian Ramos’ “Pinoy Mutant Warriors.”
