World Traveller salutes Miss World Phl

MANILA, Philippines - Luggage and travel accessories brand, World Traveller, has teamed up with Miss World Philippines as its official luggage partner, along with Flight001 as World Traveller’s official store. World Traveller promotes a lifestyle of travelling in style and elegance — its essence is perfectly aligned with that of the Miss World pageant. World Traveller and Flight 001 conducted the short but sweet pre-pageant presentation Travel 101 Workshop, which aimed to orient the candidates with tips on taking domestic and international flights. Each candidate was also given their own World Traveller trolley bag to aid in their travels and activities.

In fact, World Traveller played a key role during the Miss World Philippines 2013 Gala held last Aug. 14 at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino. Hosted by Grace Lee, the momentous affair saw all 2013 candidates stride gracefully in the runway at a fashion show featuring designs by top Filipino crafters like Arnold Galang, Yako Reyes, Roland Lirio, Lizanne Cua, Eric delos Santos and Ulysses King.

The highlight of the night was the awarding of special titles — signaling that the competition is truly gaining its momentum. The title of Miss World Traveller was given to candidate No. 10, Janicel Lubina.

Janicel received P25,000 cash and P25,000 worth of gift certificates from Flight001. Interestingly so, the Miss World Philippines 2012 Queenierich Rehman was also last year’s Miss World Traveller. Queenierich was also present during the event.

The pageant finally culminated last Aug. 18 at the Solaire Resort and Casino where Megan Lynne Young was declared Miss World Philippines 2013. She is representing the country at the Miss World 2013, the 63rd edition of the international pageant set to take place in Sept. 28 in Indonesia. Miss World Traveller Janice, on the other hand, was crowned first runner-up.

As one of the major sponsors of the pageant, World Traveller bestowed Megan and her runners-up with their very own luggage from World Traveller.

Megan is now in Indonesia as she vies for the prestigious Miss World 2013 crown. During the course of the competition, she is expected to learn more about the world and the various cultures of each international candidate. As a premium luggage brand which possesses the same sophistication, class and resourcefulness as that of a Miss World candidate, World Traveller is simply the most ideal travel companion.
