From valedictorian to housemaid in Titser

MANILA, Philippines - Titser’s heroine Michelle Maturan, played by Lovi Poe, arrives in Manila to avail of her college scholarship… only to discover it was a scam. 

Her mentor Sandra, portrayed by Agot Isidro, goes in search of her scholarship documents but there are none on record. The governor, who takes credit for providing an annual P16M worth of scholarships to deserving children in his province, including Michelle, cannot be contacted. 

In a disturbing reversal of fortune, the high school valedictorian must give up her dreams to look for work as a domestic helper. She is accepted into the Reyes household, only to encounter verbal and physical abuse. Mikael Daez makes his dramatic Titser debut this week as Kurt Reyes, the temperamental son of Michelle’s employer. 

The journey of Michelle from poor barrio lass to teacher continues on GMA News TV 11’s Titser, airing Sunday nights at 7:15.
