El Presidente now on video

MANILA, Philippines - It was a film created to bring pride to Philippine cinema. El Presidente, which centers on the first Philippine Pres. Emilio Aguinaldo, has indeed hit its mark judging from the astounding 44 technical, acting and special awards it has received  15 from FAMAS, eight from Star Awards, eight from Metro Manila Film Festival, seven from Gawad Pasado, five from Luna Awards, and one from the Soho International Film Festival in New York, where it won Best World Showcase, beating entries from countries such as Canada, South Korea, India, Germany and Russia.

Completed on a budget of over P100M under the direction of Mark Meily (FAMAS and STAR Awards Best Director and FAMAS Best Story and Screenplay), the five-time Best Picture film boasts of a grand production and sterling performances from the cast led by Jeorge “E.R.” Estregan (FAMAS, STAR and Gawad Pasado Awards Best Actor), Nora Aunor, Christopher de Leon, Cristine Reyes, and Cesar Montano (FAMAS and MMFF Best Supporting Actor).  It has now achieved its much-awaited video release.
