Matteo not dating Sarah, willing to work with Maja

MANILA, Philippines - Although he already clarified the issue before, Matteo Guidicelli is still continuously being linked to fellow Kapamilya artist Sarah Geronimo.

Other personalities previously linked to the two — namely Gerald Anderson and Jessy Mendiola — even gave out comments regarding the two’s rumored blossoming friendship.

But once and for all, the Kapamilya actor wants to set things straight: he is not dating Sarah.

“We’re just friends, yun lang,” Matteo said in an interview on Thursday, August 22.

The rumor began when Matteo and Sarah did a song number during a concert in the US recently. But the actor said that’s the extent of their friendship.

“We had a concert together in America and we had a song number together. I don’t know, but the video went viral and I guess the people saw it” he said.

Matteo added, “And yun lang. It’s just a performance on stage that we did together.”

The actor, who will soon star in the upcoming series “Galema” with Andi Eigenmann, said it was really his conscious decision not to focus on his love life right now.

“I really want to concentrate on my work because I feel like if you really want to excel in one thing, you really need to give everything to that thing, Matteo said.

On Maja

Matteo has remained single since his breakup with Maja Salvador, which they admitted last year. The two have worked together in the 2012 movie “My Cactus Heart.” Maja is now in a relationship with Gerald Anderson.

If given the chance, is he open to work with Maja again?

“Maja is one of the most brilliant actresses of her age. She’s an amazing person to work with,” he said.

“I learned a lot from her. And I hope we can work together because she’s very, very nice to work with,” Matteo further said.

Besides “Galema,” the Kapamilya actor is also working on the second season of “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition.”
