Lindsay Lohan says her troubled past is behind her

The Philippine Star

NEW YORK (AP) — Lindsay Lohan says this time it's going to be different.

In an interview that aired Sunday with Oprah Winfrey, the troubled actress declared that this, her sixth stint in rehab, has put her on a path of recovery.

Lohan said she's in "a different head space" now and vowed to stay clear-headed and focused in the future.

She said a comfort level with her past chaotic life fed her much-reported partying and her brushes with the law. But she added that she takes full blame for her mistakes.

Lohan, 27, completed this latest court-ordered stay in rehab in July. She must continue therapy into late next year.

When Winfrey asked if she can turn her life around this time, Lohan replied, "Yeah."
