An award for Kuya Daniel

MANILA, Philippines - Kuya Daniel Razon receives the Movie Writers Welfare Foundation Gawad ng Pagkilala Award from Movie Writers Welfare Foundation (MWWF) president Emy Abuan last Aug. 5 in his UNTV Program Good Morning Kuya.

The news and rescue advocacy of Kuya Daniel aptly called Tulong Muna, Bago Balita was dubbed by MWWF as a first in TV history.

Abuan summarized the many accomplishments of Kuya Daniel Razon by saying, “We have given him this well-deserved award for his people-centered advocacy, which includes free education, free medical-dental clinics, Libre Sakay, news and rescue service and lately, Tulong Muna, Bago Pasada.’

Kuya Daniel thanked the MWWF for the recognition of his Tulong Muna, Bago Balita advocacy, saying, ‘We hope that by this award, many will come to know and recognize that we are committed to continue these efforts for the sake of our poor fellowmen.’

Aside from Tulong Muna, Bago Balita, he has organized Tulong Muna, Bago Pasada in which rescue-trained taxi drivers and operators are now actively involved in rescue operations during vehicular accidents. With that, Kuya Daniel hopes to encourage all TV networks to set aside competition on ratings and put up a similar rescue team which will act as one, coordinated rescue brigade that will be singular in purpose so that more lives will be saved.
