It’s official: Ogie Alcasid signs up with TV5

MANILA, Philippines – Ogie Alcasid is now a Kapatid.

According to a report aired in TV5’s news program, “Aksyon,” the former GMA-7 artist signed a contract with the Kapatid network on Tuesday, August 6.

Present during the contract signing were TV5 President and CEO Noel Lorenzana and Chief Entertainment Content Officer Wilma Galvante.

“Thanks for the warm welcome TV5,” Ogiel posted on his Instagram page.

He also took to Twitter a few hours before his contract signing to ask for prayers from his followers.

Ogie was a talent of the Kapuso network for 18 years before moving to TV 5.

Last month, GMA 7 released a statement saying the network wishes Ogie the best as explore new grounds.

“As Ogie Alcasid moves on to explore new grounds, GMA Network, his home for almost two decades, wishes him all the best. We thank him for being a part of the Network's success all these years,” their statement said.
