MANILA, Philippines - JC de Vera is now an ABS-CBN star, the network confirmed.
The actor signed a two-year contract with the Kapamilya network on Monday, July 29. He will start working on his first project with ABS-CBN this August.
The new Kapamilya actor also confirmed the news on his Instagram account.
“Its official!!!!! :)) akoy isang kapamilya na! Thankyou abscbn for the very warm welcome. Kinakabahan pa ren ako. Hahaha,†JC posted on the photo sharing service.
He also hinted the big career move on his Twitter account prior to the contract signing.

JC started his career as an actor in GMA 7 before he moved to TV5 in 2010, where he starred in shows as “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum†and “Valiente.†In a previous interview, JC said his contract with the Kapatid network expired last March.
“I still want to grow, to learn many things. Kung (babalik) ba ko sa GMA o magtra-try ako sa ABS-CBN? Well, as long as I see the opportunity to learn like what TV5 gave to me, then I’ll grab that opportunity,†he said in an interview with the Philippine Star last May.
